Jo Tanaka, the owner of Ceepo, and I tried to crack it: how to design a competition bike frame to make it one of the most stable, stiff and efficient long-distance frames on the market? To get the lightest and at the same time the most long-lasting frame to compete best at all diverse course profiles in the world? So catchy in its efficiency and aesthetics that we get the attention we needed as a small, nearly unknown brand?
We tested a lot and did an early stage of R&D, to figure out the best single mold carbon frame ahead of time. I product-designed, wrote the business plan for Europe and the marketing strategy – and went into the distribution domain to sell directly. With strong sponsorships, an own pro team and one of the best products in the market we were lucky and proud of a fast-growing business that made us become the bike partner of WCT – the organizer of all Ironman races in the world. Awesome and impactful time!
